LIBRARY
YBN University’s library engages in strategic planning for the long-term, sustainable growth of the university’s collections, improve access to information and develop alternative modes of scholarly communication. At present the library has vivid and varied range of more than 16000 volumes of books, 72 Journals and Magazines, 10 local and national news papers. YBN university has gone ahead in making the concept of digital library functions with the availability of digital content to enhance the first-hand knowledge of the students at the university.
COMPUTER LAB
YBN University has excellent infrastructure, including domain specific laboratories associated with the technical divisions. All labs are equipped with the latest Hardware & Software for the up-gradation of education and upliftment of research for students to meet the challenging needs of the IT sector. The university has computer center at each school all with average capacity between 100 – 250 high end computers provides easily accessible and excellent computational facilities to the faculty and students catering to their academic, research and recreational requirements.Central Antivirus server provides security for entire network.
Power Backup
Separate sub-station of high tension line for uninterrupted power supply, and 100% power backup through 50 kva DG Set is an extraordinary facility available in the campus. With the challenging situation of global climate change and need of carbon credit control YBN University has taken an initiative by setting up 50 kWp grid connected roof top Solar PV energy system on the academic block of YBN University.
Transport
YBN University is also providing Bus facility for smooth and comfortable commutation of students and staff. The buses are modern to give a comfortable traveling experience. The bus shuttles between the campus and a few important landmarks. Students and staff need to register to avail this service, which is on the basis of first–come, first–served. The service is planned and managed by the student transport committee; the time for the bus service is decided based on demand and seasonal conditions.
Medical Facility
To ensure students’ well-being, YBN University provides great medical facilities with a full time team of doctors available 24x7 within the Campus. The university also has a dispensary on campus to meet the first aid and routine medical requirements of the students free of cost. Doctors and nurses are available on shift basis to provide all support to the Hostellers, Day scholars' and staff members of the University.
Sports
Sports play a pivotal role in shaping one’s personality and maintaining good health. We’ve specially developed a sports environment that matches international standards and gives a truly global experience to all our students. There are multiple sport facilities to keep our students engaged and physically fit. YBN University has set up facilities/grounds for Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Table-Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Carom, etc., and league matches are encouraged.
GYM
The multi-gym station of the YBN University helps them to of their interest and keep fit and healthy for studies. A modern gym, with all the latest gadgets has been set up in the hostel.
Hostel
YBN University has a separate hostel section for both boys and girls. Each hostel has a Warden from the teaching faculty of the colleges who is responsible for the discipline, maintenance of building, allotment of rooms, etc. Each hostel is self-contained with amenities such as a reading room, an indoor games room, and a lounge.
Mess
The hostel premises comprise of separate dining facility in the Boys’ and Girls’ hostels. Girls hostel has a separate dining hall and well equipped kitchen which caters for 300 girls. Mess serves breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner every day and the weekly menu is available with the mess in-charge. The food served is of high quality and meets the quality standards.
ATM & Bank Facility
YBN University maintains its accounts with a leading nationalized bank. The Branch Offices of Punjab National Bank and State Bank of India are located at about a few minutes’ walk from the campus. This helps all our Students and Faculty to make transactions safer and faster.
Security
The campus is provided security by 8 feet compound wall with fencing. About 100 security personnel provide full proof security to all inmates. A senior faculty member is the overall in charge of the entire security setup. The whole campus including academic area, administration building, hostels, and residential complex is fully covered by the security round the clock.
Wi-Fi Facilities
YBN University has dedicated Internet Leased line connected to all the terminals throughout the Campus. Students and faculty are free to access internet. This helps them access online class lectures and assignments posted by teachers and instructions issued by the university.
